Luster band and sprig motif Joseph Clementson blue white and copper lustre banding ironstone gravy boat with undertray in excellent condition. I think that the Tea Leaf style is described as "copper lustre with blue pinstripes and cobalt plumes". On this piece the cobalt plumes are also decorated with fine copper lustre lines. Flared pedestal. Molded body style is New York. A great English ironstone Tea Leaf collectible item.
The impressed back stamp is marked J Clementson Hanley with the letter B on the left and number 19 on the right. The top number is difficult to read and makes it difficult to determine exactly the year of production. Joseph Clementson pottery was active from 1845 to 1860.
